Online First Responder Therapy in North Carolina, South Carolina, & Ohio
Individual Therapy for Trauma, PTSD, Stress, and Burnout
As a first responder, you're trained to stay calm under pressure, make difficult decisions, and show up for others in their most challenging moments. But carrying the weight of repeated exposure to trauma, critical incidents, stress, and responsibility can take a significant toll on your mental and emotional well-being. First responders regularly face situations most people never encounter. Over time, repeated exposure to trauma, crisis, loss, and high-stress environments can impact emotional health, physical well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life. Whether you're a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, EMT, dispatcher, correctional officer, emergency room professional, or another public safety professional, you deserve support that understands the unique challenges of your work.
I provide online therapy for first responders in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Ohio who are experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, trauma, PTSD symptoms, relationship difficulties, or emotional exhaustion. In our time together, you'll have a confidential space to process your experiences, strengthen coping skills, and prioritize your own mental health. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness. It is a proactive investment in your well-being, performance, relationships, and long-term health.
If you’re struggling with the weight of the responsibility you feel for others, you’re not alone and support is available.

A Compassionate Approach:
I understand that first responder culture often emphasizes strength, self-reliance, and pushing through difficult situations. Therapy should feel practical, respectful, and focused on real-world solutions.
My approach combines evidence-based therapies with a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly about your experiences. I use a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the impact of cumulative stress and traumatic exposure while creating a safe and supportive environment for healing. Depending on your needs, we may incorporate elements of CBT, ACT, IFS, and/or Brainspotting in our work together. You’ll learn practical tools for managing high-pressure situations, reducing emotional exhaustion, improving personal relationships, and maintaining long-term mental wellness. Whether you're early in your career or approaching retirement, therapy can help you navigate the challenges that come with serving others.

No, you don’t have to have a prior diagnosis to start therapy. For many of the first responders I work with, it’s their first time in therapy! If you choose to use insurance benefits, I’m required to submit a diagnosis that’s an appropriate fit for our work together in order for insurance to cover your sessions. If you choose to self-pay for services instead, I’m not required to make a diagnosis (unless you’d prefer to have a name to put to your experience). The choice is 100% yours!
